I have over 25 years of experience in the field of addiction. I published a monthly newspaper “Journey” for 8 years with 20,000 readers throughout the United States and 4 countries. Our primary subjects were trauma, child abuse, and addiction.
For the past thirteen years, I have worked as a Chemical Dependency Counselor specializing in co-occurring disorders. I have worked at abstinence only outpatient facilities as well as medication assisted treatment centers.
I have two published books, “Through the Fire” which I have edited. An interview I did was also published “Understanding Trauma, Abuse, and Multiple Personality Disorder.”
I have published numerous articles, interviews, and poems nationwide.
I live in Seattle with my husband, Chris, my son, and I. My family also include two adult daughters, a young granddaughter, and an adult grandson, his wife and two great grandsons.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing poetry and painting. I love music with special emphasis on Leonard Cohen’s work. I am grateful for friends and family who have taught me what love is and how to accept it graciously.
